Inside My Head // Poem by Lynn White

It’s a quiet time now out there

after the storm

no more snow

and the wind has abated.

The blizzard could never have been,

never have happened

just be part of my imagination.

My thoughts were quiet then

looking out into the torment.

But now

the blizzard has moved inside,

inside my head

a blizzard of thoughts

circling round

and round

drawing me into its vortex.
