A LONELY ROAD (Poetry by Ogaraku Chioma Blessing)

 A LONELY ROAD

On this road I'm walking,

This road so lonely and scary,

This road which no one has agreed to walk with me.

It's your cross, they say, bear it.

Stop taking that path, they say

It will yield no good.

I won't let what they say get to me,

I will walk this road to the very end,

Cause I want to see what it has for me.

I don't know when I will get to the end of the road

Neither do I know when I will get back home

But I know I will one day.

On this lonely road I'm walking all alone,

But with each step, my strength has grown.

Through trials and tears, I'll continue to roam,

For I know, in the end, I'l

l find my own home.
