Injustice

I won't write a song anymore.

No more words, no calm shore.

Just deep and dusty silence.

Utterance is stopped in violence.

Shouts and cries with a river of blood—

Tiring sense and firing flood!

In the land of freedom and flora and glory,

Cold and Summer and Spring and History,

Erase the acrostic of cruelty.

Bangladesh

Beneath the sky—

And above the welkin—

Nation of victory dwells.

Glory of sacrifice and

Love of Heaven—

Admiring the beauty of

Divine bliss and blessing—

Enormous emotions of

Seventeen crore hearts’

Home and paradise.
